Mandatory Gear List
1.
Mountain Bike, bike helmet, bike pump, spare tube, patches, tools for
repair (tyre levers, etc)
2. Small backpack.
3. Running shoes which are to be carried at all times
4. Whistle (used to draw attention if lost or in need of assistsnce).
5. First aid kit for minor incidents (gauze, plasters, alcohol
swabs).
6. Enough water or fluid replacement to last for the duration
of the race.
7. One working cell phone per team in a dry bag to be carried
at all times (this will be randomly
checked at checkpoints).
8. Field compass
9. Dry case for maps ( sturdy ziplock bags will suffice )
Recommended Gear List
1. Sunblock
2. Bike gloves
3. Duct tape (can come in very handy)
4. Energy food (sandwiches, carbo gel, fruit, granola bars
etc)
